TO DETERMINE SPLINE NOT ON THE APPLICATION CHART

(1) Measure the outer diameter of the column, box or pinion shaft over the splines.

(2) Determine the number of splines in a full circle. If there is a flat spot or teeth missing, count the number of splines half way around an area where there are continuous splines and double the number. Compare this to the chart. If unsure of spline or it is difficult to count and measure, a hardened clay mold may be made and sent to us.

(3) If the shaft is a "Double D" measure across the widest point.
