Your new sway bar mounts behind the cross member and below the lower control arm pivots using aluminum pillow blocks, and then attaches to the front of the lower control arm using 3/8" male and female helm joint rod-ends. The installation steps are as follows: | |
• | slide the two anti-sway bar retaining rings onto the center section of the anti- sway bar, followed by an anti-sway bar bushing and pillow block on each side of the bar. |
• | slide the bushings into the pillow block and bolt the pillow blocks to the cross member using the 1/4" nuts and bolts. Locate the bar so that it is centered on the cross member and tighten the retaining rings against the anti-sway bar bushings. |
• | build the linkage by threading a nut on each male helm joint, followed by a female helm joint. |
• | slide the helm linkages onto the studs at the end of the sway bar and retain them with 3/8" nylox nuts. |
• | attach the linkages to the lower control arms using the 3/8" button head bolts. If you have air spring arms, use the 3/4" O. D. x 3/8" spacer in between the helm and the control arm. .. |
• | run the suspension up and down, and turn lock to lock making sure nothing is put into a bind. If necessary, adjust the length of the helm linkage. |
